Halo: Reach Online Campaign Co-Op Not Working For 4GB 360 Owners
So you just picked up your copy of Halo: Reach, you've been waiting for this one ever since you played Halo 3: ODST last year and were immensely disappointed. You get home, throw your crap on the floor, struggle for 10 minutes to get the damn sticker locks off the case, and finally load up the game in your 4gb Xbox 360 console.
Your buddy, who also just got the game, is at home waiting on you to join him in some online campaign co-op. Despite your best efforts, when you try to join your friends game you receive this message;
“One or more players do not have the hard drive required for this game type.”
You then begin to curse rather loudly.
If you've experienced this problem, you're not alone and Microsoft is aware of the problem.
According to the Halo: Reach
FAQ, the problem exists because the 4GB 360 does not have “a certified Xbox 360 hard drive attached to their Xbox 360 console." Instead, the 4GB 360 has internal memory.
The 360 memory sticks are said to be much of a help either, but MS touts the problem is "temporary" and they are working “quickly to resolve it." No timetable was given on the fix though.
