343 Industries To Bring Master Chief Back In Future Halo Titles
Frankie O'Connor, 343 Industries bossman, said at his Comic-Con 2010 panel last night that Master Chief would be coming back in future Halo titles.
We’d have to be the world’s biggest assholes not to follow through,” said O’Connor.
“We certainly haven’t seen the last of Master Chief.”
If you haven't played Halo 3 yet, and still have every intention of doing so, stop reading here. At the end of Halo 3 we see Master Chief and Cortana floating on one half of their ship, which has been split in two. Master Chief is then put into cyro-sleep. In the ending to Legendary mode in Halo 3, a planet can be seen in the distance as Master Chief is put to sleep.
343 Industries was created for the sole purpose of taking over the Halo franchise after Bungie, the current Halo developers, ride off into the sunset after September's launch of Halo: Reach. It was confirmed earlier last week that 343 is currently working on a new IP for a Halo title.
