Halo: Reach At Comic-Con Confirms Many Things

Halo: Reach At Comic-Con Confirms Many Things
Comic-Con was abuzz last night with Microsoft showing off their baby, Halo: Reach, while dropping a few mega-tons on us in the process.

If you remember correctly (and if you can't, you need to seek medical attention...it was only a couple of hours ago) we told you that there was a rumor swirling about Microsoft releasing a Halo: Reach Xbox 360 bundle in September. Looks like the internets were right again!

Microsoft officially confirmed that Halo: Reach will come bundled with a 250GB Xbox 360 Slim, two wireless controllers, and cables. The package will run you $400/£249, however Microsoft did announce that the bundle would only be available in the UK at GAME and GameStation.

Microsoft also announced that the multiplayer mode, Firefight, will be returning for Halo: Reach. Firefight made its first appearance in Halo 3: ODST last year. It's not exactly the same old Firefight though, a new play type was revealed called “Gruntpocalypse”, it's basically a Grunt horde, in your face...you'll probably die. The other new play type revealed was "Versus Firefight", which lets you play on the Covenant side of things. All the maps for the multiplayer mode will be taken from the campaign.

MS then confirmed that Forge 2.0 would be rearing its massive head, once again. It's an editing tool used to create and edit your own maps. Forge has been upgraded and updated to include more of just about everything.

A couple of new videos are below that detail Forge 2.0 a bit better and an unboxing of Halo: Reach...go nuts.

It's out September 14 worldwide only for the Xbox 360.
