StarCraft II Cost Over $100 Million To Make
According to the
Wall Street Journal, Activision Blizzard spent over $100 million to make StarCraft II.
The article claims that analysts are predicting that StarCraft II will sell millions of copies and actually turn a profit. At $60 a pop for the game, Activision would only need to sell 1.7 million units to break even.
Mike Morhaime, Blizzard President, said;
“We’ve brought in a lot of new players in the Beta testing who’ve been playing World of Warcraft but have never tried Starcraft,” he said.
StarCraft II is out worldwide on July 27 only for the PC.
