SEGA Won't Be Doing Alpha Protocol Sequel
In a bit of shocking news (sarcasm), SEGA has
announced that they won't be publishing a sequel to the rather disappointing Alpha Protocol.
In a recent interview with CVG, SEGA West bossman Mike Hayes said;
“Let’s speak very commercially; the game hasn’t sold what we’ve expected, therefore we won’t be doing a sequel,” he said.
“The concept was brilliant, though. You know this whole thing with Metacritic where you have to be in the high 70s to mid-80s minimum [to have any success] – well, with RPGs you have got to be in the late 80s.”
Released earlier this year on the PS3, 360, and PC, Alpha Protocol has an average review score of 67 on Metacritic.
Alpha Protocol was developed by Obsidian which is currently working on Fallout: New Vegas due out in October and Dungeon Siege III alongside Square Enix.
