Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days "Arcade Mode" Details

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days 'Arcade Mode' Details
Square Enix has released some details concerning the "Arcade Mode" for their upcoming title, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. They’ve also put out some screens for the mode as well.

In "Arcade Mode" you, as the player, will be introduced to Fragile Alliance in an offline capacity as a way of getting you acclimated to the mode before going online with it. "Arcade Mode" is a single-player offline game of Fragile Alliance - based on Greed, Betrayal & Revenge. The rules are the same as the single-player offering except that the other playable roles will be assumed by NPC’s.

"Arcade Mode" will allow you to explore the map, get used to the weapons and shooting system, and hone your skills before going online. Any in-game money you make will completing missions in "Arcade Mode" will be shared amongst the other NPC criminal players. You get the most money for completing a crime successfully and escaping. You lose money by killing innocent civilians and becoming a traitor.

You will have four minutes to pull off a heist before the cops are alerted, you will only get three chances to complete the heist. If you do not escape with the loot or are killed while trying to complete the heist, you will lose a life and the heist will then become more difficult.

The end game winner is determined by who has the most money. You can also buy weapons and ammo between rounds and it will be kept by your character until you die or something else that’s better comes along.

It sounds complicated and contrived, but trust me…it’s rather simple. The Xbox LIVE demo for the game went out yesterday but you had to have a token to be able to download it.

It’s out August 24 in the US for the PS3, 360, and PC and August 27 in Europe.
