A bit of concerning news hit the world last week, Mr. Tomonobu Itagaki has left Team Ninja and is suing for bonus pay that Tecmo didn't want to cough up. Itagaki was supposed to be awarded completion bonuses for a few prior projects but when the time came to pay, Tecmo did not. Angry, Mr. Itagaki left Team Ninja and is suing for his bonus pay, all during the launch of Ninja Gaiden II. That means no more "Dead or Alive" or "Ninja Gaiden" games will be made by the man himself. Tecmo released a statement saying that they are looking into the situation and are sad to see Itagaki leave. They even put a positive PR spin near the end, telling us all how they will still continue the franchises maintaining it's high standard of quality just without Itagaki. Let's face it, you better enjoy that copy of Ninja Gaiden II because we all know without the man behind the next Ninja Gaiden game, it's going to be all down hill from here.

Well a little game called Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots came out this week and I swung by my local ebgames and picked it up. By that I mean, I pre-ordered it months in advance and was racing my way over after work to get my hooks into it. A solid weekend of gaming, some energy drinks and I completed a play through on normal just over twenty hours. Wow... just wow, this game rocks. On it's own it's a really great game but if you played all the other MGS games this game is total fan service. Everything is explained, everything, The Patriots, Foxdie, the intricacies of nano-machines, all explained in detail. No scratching your head MGS2 ending here, it all gets resolves. I'd love to talk about it more but I don't want to be dropin' spoilers left and right so I'll leave it at that. Go and buy a PS3, go and buy Metal Gear Solid 4, it's worth it! I need to get some sleep now.
