Gran Turismo Delay Will Be Short

After the announcement that Gran Turismo would be delayed again, Sony has now stated it will only be a "short one".

There have been many different stories and rumours and theories on what has caused the delay. Some believe that the game just missed the deadline for its November 2 release, possibly due toBlu-ray production delays. In a tweet yesterday GT5 designer Kazunori Yamauchi wrote that the game still needed some finalizing to be done before being released.

Other rumours evolve around why Sony might have delayed the game. One reason might be that with EA's Medal Of Honour going to retail with the recent Firmware update on disk, Sony also wants GT5 to do the same with GT5, forcing the update to stop hackers from creating backups from games.

Although Sony have commented saying it would be a short delay, they were unwillingly to state whether the game would actually be released in 2010.
