Diablo 3 Producer no longer with blizzard

The Senior Producer of Diablo III, Steve Parker, announced today his departure from both the Diablo project and Blizzard.

The surprising announcement came via Parker's Twitter, writing "Hey Twitter, I'm no longer working at Blizzard or on D3. I've had a great 5 years there and those guys are going to do an amazing job with Diablo."

Why he left and what he plans in the future are not yet revealed. Meanwhle Blizzard is seeking a senior producer for Diablo III.

Diablo III is officially scheduled for early 2012, but Game director Jay Wilson has warned against impatience for the release - "While working on Diablo III we've been called out for messing around with systems too much, that the game is good as-is and we should just release it. I think that's a fair argument to make, but I also think it's incorrect. Our job isn't just to put out a game, it's to release the next Diablo game."
