Sony announced today on
the Playstion blog that Gran Turismo 5 will be getting a slightly upgraded re-release later this month.

Sega announced today that the third and fourth entries in the popular light gun shooter franchise will see a digital rerelease exclusively on the Playstation Network this year.

Gamestop has been calling customers to announce the cancellation of The Last Guardian. Sony has said it isn't, and this leads me to believe one thing.

Sony revealed all the different pre-order bonuses and which retailers will have each on the
PS Blog today.

Product placement gets more and more ridiculous as time goes on. Advertisers have (relatively) recently realized that videogames are a ripe market that wasn't being utilized. And so, games like Madden feature the same advertisements as a typical NFL football broadcast, and those connected to Xbox Live get treated to updated advertisements like NBC's The Cape iPad Giveaway promotion popping up every now and again at the bottom of the screen during games.
Ubisoft announced today that the recently revealed Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood beta will be starting on September 13.
The beta is exclusive to the PS3 and the only way to get it in North America is to pre-order the game from GameStop. There will probably be beta code giveaways and trivia contests here and there, as well as codes going up on Ebay, I'm sure. So, if you have any reason to boycott GameStop, as I know a few gamers that do, getting into the beta shouldn't be impossible.
Despite the fact that this trailer for the
recently announced Tales of Graces HD remake wasn't supposed to release for another few weeks on the Japanese PSN, someone leaked it on to YouTube.
Anonymous sources have told
Destructoid that PS Move demo kiosks will be coming to Best Buy and Wal-Mart on September 11 in order to allow customers to try out the new controller.
Sony is actually looking to hire representatives that would be able to work those kiosks and help potential buyers with "the usage of Move, showing off features, and answering questions." Move is set to release on September 19 and the kiosks will supposedly be up through late January 2011. So for those of you that haven't been able to get your hands on the device one way or another, here's your only chance aside from just buying it.
Game Informer
revealed their July cover image earlier today, and the mag's cover story is inFamous 2. The reveal keeps the details to a minimum in order to entice people to pick up the next issue, but there are still a few. Cole's getting a new look, though he's looking much too different from before in this image. And, of course, the sequel standards: new powers, a new location, and a new main enemy(well, duh).
No details other than that, but hit the jump for the full wrap around cover image.
