Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition Releasing This Month

Sony announced today on the Playstion blog that Gran Turismo will be getting a slightly upgraded re-release later this month.

The XL Edition of Gran Turismo 5 includes the original game, with all of the (free) updates through Spec 2.0 included on the disc. Alongside this, the game will include a $20 voucher for GT5 DLC. While the voucher would appeal to anyone, it does seem like this version of the game is aimed at players who don't have their consoles hooked up to the internet, and therefore couldn't receive the improvements provided by those updates now included on this disc.

Sony also touted that the game also features a reversible coversheet that features the Red Bull X2011 supercar to "add a different look to your game library shelf."



The game will be available on January 17 for $39.99.
