Your Xbox Live Avatar Can Now Get Inked

While "gun-like avatar props" are on the outs, Microsoft is bringing in something new, in the form of avatar tattoos. Choices include shoulder, forearm, and sleeve tattoos.

The selection right now is limited and includes some odd constraints. Instead of making the tattoos into their own form of accessory or clothing for the avatars, they are all instead coupled with plain, black or white shirts and tank tops. So, if you want to get a tattoo, prepare to ditch that Monday Night Combat avatar t-shirt you worked oh so hard to unlock.

The are some traditional choices, like tribal designs and kanji, as well as a classic favorite, with the "Mom tattoo." The tattoos range in price from 160 to 240 MSP ($2-3) and are available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
