Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy Lending Voices to DC Universe Online

Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy Lending Voices to DC Universe Online
Sony Online Entertainment announced today that they've got Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy to reprise their voice-acting roles as the Joker and Batman, respectively. Both of the voice actors played those roles for Batman: The Animated Series (pictured above), and were both asked to voice those characters in last year's Batman: Arkham Asylum. These two men have really become what many geeks and gamers of the current generation think of as the definitive voices for their characters (though Heath Ledger has certainly given Hamill a run for his money).

“We’re excited that not only will Mark and Kevin bring their talent back to the DC Universe as part of DC Universe Online, but we’ve hit the jackpot with a full cast that are veterans of movies, TV shows and games that our fans are crazy about,” said Sony Online Entertainment Vice President of Development, John Blakely. “Several of these actors are recognized as the definitive voices for these characters, and will help us in creating an authentic and exciting experience for fans when they get in the game.”

Among other voice actors are quite a few of Joss Whedon favorites, oddly enough(okay, it's only three, but that seems like a lot for one game). Two Firefly alums, Adam Baldwin and Gina Torres, will be voicing Superman and Wonder Woman, respectively. And James Marsters, of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and Angel fame, will be voicing Lex Luthor.

The only other announced voice actress is Michelle Forbes who would most recently be known for her role as Maryann in True Blood, but many sci-fi fans would recognize her first as Admiral Helena Cain from the recently ended Battlestar Galactica reboot.
