Crytech releases multiplayer details

Crytech releases multiplayer details
Crysis 2. We’ve seen this baby’s single player, and it is looking hot, but until today not a single one of us have beheld its newly revamped multiplayer. Well that’s the case no longer as footage and details have just come out of GamesCom, and they’ve never looked so sweet. Thus far these are the details that have been given. Two of the game modes that have been revealed are crash site and team instant action. Crash site consists of two teams, each vying for control of alien ceph drop pods that are ignorantly launched by those damn aliens into our earth. By securing the area around these pods do the opposing teams score points, until one comes out successful. (Sounds a bit like area control game types in other games? Well in what other game can you use a Nano suit to do it hmm?) The second mode is just what it sounds like, two teams facing off in Nano suits, each trying to keep casualties to a minimum whilst slaughtering your enemies till they know no greater shame. Three customizable Nanosuits modules were explained as well. One is known as the proximity alarm module that gives off an audio warning whenever it detects a nearby enemy. The second will be, I’m sure, an instant favorite with the name of Weapons Specialist Module…everyone wants to be a weapons specialist. Whilst in this mode, the user while have enhanced reloading speed capabilities. Finally there is the enhanced visor module, which is for those who feel that the default Nano suit heads up display is not enough. When using this module, ones Nano suit will easily select and highlight the opposition so you don’t have to go through all the effort of finding campers yourself. To check out all these details in action, simply follow this video link.

If that footage wasn’t enough for you and you can’t wait until next year to play crysis 2, then all you xbox 360 users out there will have a chance to play the beta coming this fall. Now onto this news pieces challenge, who can name that pokem…. I mean alien ship thingy at the end of the video.
