Dragon Age: Origins DLC - Too little, too late?
PS3 fans rejoice! A day after possibly the biggest blunder in PS3 history, I have news to report to you regarding another huge disappointment surrounding the console.
What disappointment am I referring to? The (non)release of Dragon Age: Origins DLC, Return to Ostagar. For just over a month now, PS3 owners, both fat
and skinny for a change, have been bewildered as to why this content has yet to be released. Has an official release date finally been announced?
Yes! Just five days before the release of DA:O's first expansion, Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening, Playstation owners will finally be able to "return to Ostagar!" For those of you not too keen on math, that will be March 11, 2010.
I don't know about you guys, but it will give the more hardcore DA:O gamers time to play through the game one last time before Awakening's street date, March 16th.
I'm left wondering why it took so long. No definite answer was ever given, as it was stuck in limbo with Sony since its initial release. My guess would be that, since the original release was so buggy that it had to be recalled and re-released on January 29th, Sony's quality assurance department was still unhappy with the finished product, forcing Bioware to change it up before taking it live and ready for purchase. If this is the case, then Sony, you have my stamp of approval. The fashionably-late DLC will be made available for $4.99, across the Playstation Network.
Now, wouldn't it have been funny if I had simply answered, "No", after the jump? Come on - give me more credit than that.
