Bill Gates is the real "Big Brother"

Bill Gates is the real 'Big Brother'
Microsoft chairman Bill Gates has been granted a patent by the US patent office for his "invention" of a new "personal data mining" system. This new system will be used to analyze information and to make important recommendations with the goal of aiding a person's life's decisions. These recommendations will improve a person's quality of life whether they want it improved or not, says Mr. Gates.

My question is this. Do you want Bill Gates and his evil empire Microsoft to be making decisions for you? Do you want him mining your personal data? If you have pictures, videos, or write something and then post it Bill Gates will be able to get at it. He disguises his true intent by saying he "simply wants to improve everyone's quality of life."

As an example Gates envisions a world where he will be the one to tell people what books to read, what movies to see or video games to play. All of this is based on data he can dig up on people.

Of course, it's not all about helping people and improving lives. Microsoft as always has an ulterior motive. The patent states that "data can be afforded to businesses involved in market analysis, or the like, in a manner that balances privacy issues of users with demand for high quality information from businesses." That means Microsoft simply wants another source of income for the selling of personal information.

I find this patent to be extremely upsetting. I DO NOT want Bill Gates or anyone else telling me what he thinks I should be buying or doing. I don't need Bill Gates making decisions for me. I am fully capable of doing that myself, thank you. Does Gates think he's God and that he knows better then we do about how to run our lives? I think not. Bill is the last person in the world I want running my life.

I would like to close this commentary by saying this to Mr. William Gates. Bill; "please mind your own business" and stop trying to steal my personal information, you have enough of it already. Go occupy yourself by counting your 50 or so billion dollar fortune. That should take you a few months at least... Go figure...
