Is XBL really more "Juvenile' then PSN?

Is XBL really more 'Juvenile' then PSN?
Zipper Interactive's Ben Jones thinks so. In fact he gave an interview during a London based event being used to promote the soon to be launched PlayStation 3's multi-player shooter MAG saying just that.

Mr. Jones told a reporter at the event:

“I actually consider Xbox Live the more juvenile of the two due to the things that are being said over Xbox Live”.

"Each service has its own posse," "I think the PlayStation audience definitely fits more to our game." Says Jones.

Should the developer of a game be giving interviews that bash one group of people over another?

I think not and for a good reason. Saying such things can alienate one group and it might actually cause projected sales numbers to be lower then expected. I'm sure there must be a study somewhere that states just this although after scouring the Internet I have yet to find it.

Perhaps Mr. Jones is bashing the Xbox crowd because his company has failed to come up with a suitable Xbox version of the game? That explanation could be the reason for this unfortunate lack of judgement on behalf of a person so deeply involved in the development of this game.

If the game is being produced exclusively for the PlayStation and Play Station Network then why rile up the other side and bash their console and network by making such " juvenile" statements.

People that make their living in the public eye need to think before they speak. Saying things like this when they have absolutely no proof only serves to make the person saying such things look foolish. In fact it makes them look juvenile.

All in favor of proclaiming Mr. Ben Jones as being the juvenile in this story say aye. There you have it folks, Ben Jones is guilty of being juvenile, not the good folks on XBL.
