To be honest I thought this would happen, Gears of War 2 has topped the Xbox Live most played charts for the week (ending November 10th).
The fast paced shooter chainsawed its way to the top beating the expertise of Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3, which have been around the top for a fairly long time.
The top 5:
1. Gears of War 2
2. Call of Duty 4
3. Halo 3
4. CoD: World at War
5. Left 4 Dead Demo

Ben Heckendorn is an engineer who never fails to amaze with the hacking and moding he does to this gen's consoles, games and controllers.
This piece of work is by far the most brilliant creation to date. He tore down a Xbox 360, added a 17 inch HD monitor, a water CPU cooler, and an ultrathin keyboard to create the Xbox 360 Laptop. This is truly a piece of art, and you must see it to believe it.

Bungie announced in the US magazine Game Informer, information on the next Halo title. Halo 3 Recon, You control the character in the image, a recruit, a unknown, speechless shock trooper and you play a part of a five-man team.
The first goal of the game is to find and investigate the last known locations of your four ODST team mates, using the new 'Visual Mode', which highlights enemy's and items with a hi-tech neon glow.
Your team mates will be a big bulky Dutch guy who of course is your heavy weapons, Romeo who is your sniper an is said to be a very irritating player and Nathan Fillion who played an ODST in Halo 3.
This game looks very good especially if you're a Halo fan to begin with, also to all big Halo fans keep an eye out for 'Halo Wars'.

"Using the aforementioned data, Gears of War 2 looks to have debuted to midnight and Friday sales of 1,400,000 units in North America, and 700,000 units in Others territories. This would represent about two thirds of Halo 3's massive debut, which wound up with 3.8 million units sold it's first week on the market."
Every time I turn on my Xbox and check my friends list I have a colossal list of "Gears of War II" but with the amount of great games released this month is Gears really that spectacular?
With the release of Fallout 3, Dead space, Fable 2 and LittleBigPlanet ( I know its PS3 but still) I expected a more diverse list of games.
With sales of 2 million should we expect Gears of War 3 confirmed already?.

As most of you will know there will be a new Xbox live update coming on the November 19th, This is known as the NXE. The NXE will first ask you to create an avatar. Now the question I am asking myself is have Microsoft copied Nintendo's Mii idea?
The avatars look incredibly similar to the Mii's. With the avatars much like the Mii's you will be able to put them into games you're playing such as the new Scene it and Uno games.
I know that many websites and games use similar style of avatars but this isn't the first time I have wondered about Microsoft's ideas for Xbox games and peripherals.
"Scene it" is pretty much taken from the Playstation 2 game "Buzz"? I know the game is different but take a look at the controllers. "Scene it" has taken a similar design to "Buzz" and made it look sharper and enhanced.
Or how about the comparison of "Lips" to "Sing Star"? It seems to me "Lips" is a juiced up version of "SingStar". Lips have everything "SingStar" has and more. I mean they have added wireless microphones and the ability to sing from your own music collection of DRM-free songs.
