The game sold more than 2.8 million copies in its first 24 hours of availability, here is what Mike Morhaime, Blizzard's CEO and co-founder has to say about the success of the launch "We're grateful for the incredible support that players around the world have continued to show for World of Warcraft"
"Wrath of the Lich King contains some of the best content we've created for the game so far, and we look forward to seeing even more players log in to experience it in the days ahead."

A young boy of 15 was taken to the hospital after collapsing while playing World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. He reportedly had played the game for fifteen hours straight and he had only had 2 hours of sleep and almost nothing to eat the entire time (Eating in the game does not count as food).
"He played all day and all night" his father told the reporters.
The boy began to feel cramps and then eventually begun to have an epileptic seizure, his terrified parents promptly called for help and the boy was rushed to hospital.
Hopefully the child is all right and the parents will have learned their lesson by limiting his time in front of the computer, which is exactly what they should do if he can't limit it himself.

That was incredibly fast. World of Warcraft's latest expansion hasn’t been out for long at all and already three new 25-man raids have been annihilated.
For those of you that might be new or are just interested in the news, there were two top ranking guilds, one know as the mighty 'Nihilum' who were known for being world first to defeat Illidan and then there is SK Gaming known for defeating 'Kill Jaeden'.
Since the release of Wrath of the Lich King the two guilds merged to form a super guild. The guild is now known as 'TwentyFithNovember' and they have already cleared Eye of Eternity, Naxxramas and Obsidian Sanctum all this was done by Saturday which is 3 days within release of the new expansion.
The main question people will now be asking is will the raid content be to easy? Or are Blizzard taking a step down to make it easier for casual players to complete higher raid content?
Of course I understand SK Gaming and Nihilum have long since dominated the game, having become one with their server, but three days is completely insane. I expect some difficulty tuning coming in the near future.

I'm sure you are all aware about World of Warcraft. Blizzard's second World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King is scheduled for release on the 13th November.
The game is much anticipated for all Warcraft players and I expect there will be a lot of people at the midnight launch queuing up for the midnight release in the UK next Wednesday at a special midnight event at HMV's Oxford Street, London.
There's said to be a number of activities leading up to the launch as well as prizes to be won. Sounds like it's going to be an entertaining night, anyone going?

I myself am a WoW addict and I often hear talk of Death Knights being the "greatest" tanking class. Does this mean that Blizzard is finally making life easier for Warriors? Does this mean warriors will now be able to be a strong DPS class without being pressured by everyone on their friends list and guild to be a tanking spec? Or is Wrath of the Lich King just going to make things harder for the Warrior? I mean a hero class that can tank better than a warrior, DPS better than a warrior and even taunt to the warriors with their healing, stealing their plate armor to boot.
The warrior already has enough classes mocking him, Druids tank and heal, Paladins tank and heal.
I know this is going to do some warriors a favor, the ones that do not like to tank and want to be a DPS class but the question is how Blizzard can release Death Knight's while continuing to agree to Warriors being a viable role? I guess only time and a vast amount of patching will answer these questions.
