Kotick ready to be burned at the stakes?

Kotick ready to be burned at the stakes?
Wow, gamers are getting really upset with Activision's CEO Robert Kotick. Time to hire a few more bodyguards and hide out at Camp David. People are speaking out against Kotick and Activision's plans of release Modern Warfare 2 at far higher prices than the average game.

Some sites have called for a boycott of Activision and Modern Warfare 2 in particular. Gaming forums are rife with people saying that they pirate the game rather than buy it at that price, even if they could afford to buy it in the first place. The emotions over pirating the game even flared up to the point that gaming site HD Warriors felt that they should counterweight by asking people -not- to pirate the game.

A new petition against the high prices went live mere hours ago but already garnered over 500 signatures. I'm willing to bet that by this time next week, that number will have increased hundredfold.

James from wedotech.net even put his rants onto film. Be forewarned: his Youtube video is not suitable for a younger audience. :)
