Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West Pre-order & Beta started

Paradox Interactive today announced the release date for the highly anticipated third-person shooter, Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West. The fast-paced gun-slinging action of the Old West will be available April 8th via Steam.

PC players eager to fire the first round in the team-based multiplayer shooter will be pleased to know that pre-ordering the game gives immediate access to the beta, which runs up to the release of the game.

DICE today announced that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is on pace to be the top selling title for March 2010. With over 2.3M units sold-through*, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has become the best-selling March release on record in North America and Europe. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is winning accolades from fans and critics for outstanding visuals and action-packed gameplay with no less than 46 outlets having awarded the game a score of 90 or above. GameSpot.com commented that, "whether or not you're looking for a new shooter in your life, you owe it to yourself to play Battlefield: Bad Company 2."

Ubisoft's confirmed that the public beta test for promising RTS, R.U.S.E. is now available for download via Steam.

"In the public beta, players will have the opportunity to choose one of the 6 unique factions available in the game (US, UK, GER, USSR, FRANCE, IT) and train themselves against the artificial intelligence on the 'Blitz' map before entering the multiplayer challenge. With 7 multiplayer maps (from 1 vs. 1 to 4 vs. 4...or free for all) players will be able to test their strategist skills against enemies combining up to 10 different ruses to lure their opponents in one of the 3 multiplayer game modes (1939, 1942, 1945)."

bitComposer Games Acquires the License for Jagged Alliance

Preliminary development work has started on Jagged Alliance 3, the new episode in the internationally successful Jagged Alliance series. The German publisher bitComposer Games has secured the full rights to the license from Strategy First, and will publish this famous strategy brand with roleplay elements worldwide. The aim is to preserve the popular basic concept of the previous versions and place it in a contemporary setting. A specific release date for Jagged Alliance 3 has not yet been confirmed, but a 2011 release is anticipated.

Sony has made it very clear that God of War III is the end of the Kratos' story, althought it is not the end of the franchise. Some might think they're being coy and a new God of War title being put in the pipeline as we speak, but God of War III Senior Producer Steve Caterson says differently.

"Not to sound like a broken record, but we're constantly pushing themselves, so no matter what our next product is and no matter what genre it is, we'll strive to make it the best of the best," said Caterson.

The EA Play Label of Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that The Sims 3: Ambitions Expansion pack* is in development and will launch in June 2010. As the second expansion pack to The Sims 3, the best-selling PC game of 2009**, The Sims 3: Ambitions allows players to pursue a variety of exciting paths and careers in their Sims' lives that in turn affect their overall gameplay experience and neighbourhood. While on the job, the player has direct control over their Sims' work and can choose how to spend their days.
