PlayStation Nation — First off, thank you for all of your feedback regarding PlayStation Plus. There have been a lot of comments and questions surrounding some of the details of the new subscription service so we wanted to provide a little clarification leading up to its availability on June 29th. It’s a lot of info, but hopefully this helps answer most of your questions.

Naughty Dog is pleased to reveal that, as part of an update to
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves tomorrow, a new Multiplayer map will be available for all players at no cost.
The new map is called “The Fort” and is a throwback map – it’s based on the “Fortress” chapter of
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. The Fort is a long rectangular map with wide open spaces and excellent flank routes. Can’t take on the enemy head on? Take the tunnels into the basement to get behind the opposing team. There is a shotgun in the center of the map, but look out for people climbing up from below to pull you to your doom. Pay attention to the side room in the crypt, there is an RPG that is ripe for the taking.

Sega and Sony are working together to bring Sonic into the PlayStation 3 version of
LittleBigPlanet. In the middle of December, five Sonic the Hedgehog costumes based on Sonic Unleashed will be released as downloadable content. You can get Sonic, Sonic the Werehog, Tails, Dr. Eggman, and Knuckles alone or in a pack.
DICE today announced the upcoming
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer beta exclusively on the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system. Starting November 19, PlayStation 3 gamers will be able to experience the unprecedented action, destruction, vehicular warfare, squad play and open sandbox environments that only Battlefield can deliver.

SCEA and Santa Monica Studios are thrilled to announce the first Ultimate Edition for God of War. Earlier this year, Sony polled a number of fans on what would make an awesome collector’s edition for God of War. They took your advice and created something epic and filled it with premium collectible and exclusive digital content.
Sony and Netflix announced that they are joining forces to make thousands of movies and TV episodes from Netflix available to be streamed instantly to TVs via the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system. Netflix expects to begin streaming via the PS3 system next month at no additional cost to Netflix members in the United States who have a PS3 system.
Atlus today announced that additional stock of
Demon's Souls, the newly released award-winning action RPG for PS3, will be making its way to stores across North America this week in response to overwhelming demand.
"We're thrilled at the level of interest and acclaim gamers are showing for
Demon's Souls, one of the best reviewed games of the year and one of the highest-rated role-playing games of all time," stated Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales for Atlus. "We're working quickly to get more copies of the game out onto store shelves. The publisher also announced that the game's Deluxe Edition, which featured a 160-page strategy guide and collectible embossed slipcase, is now considered out of print in North America and will not be remanufactured.

Atlus today launched a
Demon's Souls wiki on the game's official website, intended to serve as assistance for newcomers and struggling players of the upcoming groundbreaking action RPG experience for PlayStation 3.
"Demon's Souls is a game of shared learning, a game that engenders community and cooperation," stated Robyn Mukai, Marketing Manager for Atlus. "What better way to meet those ends than to host a community-driven information resource on the game's official website? The challenges that lie ahead in the Kingdom of Boletaria will be easier to overcome if we all work together, so we're asking anyone with something to contribute to please come forth, create an entry or expand an existing one, and join the effort to deliver the Kingdom of Boletaria from its terrible curse!"
Sony released a
flash game of the upcoming
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Earlier they released the multiplayer demo to keep the fans entertained in the last days before the launch.
In the flash game Nathan Drake goes off to save Chloe. It's funny as pastime until
Uncharted 2 in released on October 13th.
Evan Wells from Naughty Dog told Examiner in an
interview that they would "love to see Uncharted grow beyond the PS3. It would be interesting to see what sort of changes to the design one would make for a portable system. But right now we are purely focused on PS3 development so we can’t promise anything from us in the near future."
What he does promise is another Nathan Drake PS3 game some time in the future.
Sony is hoping that an upcoming promotion it will be running for
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, where US gamers get the chance to play the title on a cinema screen, could lead to new future revenue streams for both videogame makers and cinema operators.
The company is to make
Uncharted 2 available for consumers to play in one of four US cinemas on October 5 and 6, reports Reuters. These cinemas are ones equipped with Sony 4K digital cinema technology, which is currently used by around 500 cinemas nationwide, and which Sony says provides a higher image resolution than traditional projectors.
