The channel is only available for Japanese Wii consoles to access(for now), which gives wii owners the ability to upload images from their SD cards and receive customized prints, like photo books, business cards, etc. in the mail. This feature is making the Wii to be like a actual computer, but for people in North America, Europe, do expect the service to bounce through WiiWare Channel Downloads sometime in the future.

According to angry gamers, the Xbox 360 ranks on GRID have been reset after the latest update. Neither resetting the leaderboards or the ranks are unacceptable, but imagine all the gamers that worked their sweat and tears for the game, just a simple reset kills vibe about the game. I hope you all can move on up again.
UPDATE:
"The GRID Ranking Was Reset Because of Glitch Abuse" - Codemaster Responded
"Hi all,
Given the number of reports we've had of people abusing the ranking system to get unfair ranks, it was only fair that we did a reset.
It's never an easy decision to make, and we'd rather it hadn't come to this, but changes in the patch should make gaining those ranking points back fairer.
We'd like to think that people play online for the fun of it, not so much the amassing of points, but if you find yourself in this sort of situation, it's the fairest solution." - Codemaster Spokesperson
People, stop glitching and play the game like a man!
Brian Brinegar, Dan May and John Groth, are three avid gamers that are trying to raise money for Child's Play Charity and are doing that by holding a Super Mario Marathon. The event is live as we speak and a chatroom and livecast of the event are available to visitors of the site. Here's a small quote from the site:
Why are you doing this?
The concept was borrowed (with permission) from a guy named Cameron Banga and some of his friends, who attempted to complete Four 3D Zelda games in 48 hours. Watching how much fun they had, I couldn't help but want to attempt something similar. It started out with me asking a couple of my friends if they'd be down for a weekend of non-stop gaming, that turned into us deciding that we might as well make it official and document the whole thing online and see if we can raise some money for charity.

The following video seems to show a look at the next generation of PS3 controller (been flowing around the web) which has taken a bigger leaf out of the Wii's playbook. Keep in mind, it could just be a clever fake, so watch out any bad video editing.

The latest issue of GamePro has revealed that Halo Wars will support six player online muliplayer games on Live. The mag also confirmed that it will feature two-player online co-op play. Ensemble designer, Dav Pottinger, said the strategy decisions remain in the game, but the game style is more adrenaline-filled. The game is set to be released later this year. Also of note was the revelation of the title's resource system. Unlike other RTS games which might have you gathering wood, iron, or Vespene gas, Halo Wars only requires "supplies". The single resource system is meant to streamline action and keep things simple but stategic, allowing players to focus on battle over preparations.
Hideo Kojima, the internationally acclaimed games designer, was in London this week to receive his Guinness World Record certificates, as listed in the Guinness World Record: Gamer's Edition 2008. His achievements are for Metal Gear, the first video game to fully utilize stealth as part of the gameplay and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of liberty, the biggest selling stealth game on Play Station 2.
Earlier adventure games had used elements of stealth, such as hiding and disguises, but Kojima's creation Metal Gear was the first game to concentrate solely on these elements, effectively creating the "stealth game" sub-genre.
Keith Pullin, Editor of the Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008 book, was on hand to present the certificates and said 'I would like to welcome Mr. Kojima to our family of gaming record breakers and we hope he breaks many more!'.
For more spectacular gaming records see Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008 (RRP £15), the first Guinness World Records book devoted solely to the world of gaming, is on shelves now and bursting with new records, high score statistics and fascinating facts.
