I haven't been the biggest fan of the 3D Metroid games, finding them enjoyable but not overly amazing. However that's changed with Prime 3. This game had me hooked from the start and is shaping to be Retro's best effort yet.

Ever since people first figured out how to interface between a Wiimote and a PC there's been a ton of useful (and not so useful) applications and scripts made utilizing the motion-sensing controller.
Johnny Chung Lee, however, has quite possibly come out with the coolest hack so far, using the Wiimote to create your very own makeshift electronic whiteboard. All you need to get started is a Wiimote, a PC with a BlueTooth, an infrared light (like those found if your television remote) and Johnny's software available here.
This is really simple to do; I managed to get my own Wii whiteboard working after an hour or so. If you want to learn more watch Johnny's video below.
RockStar's ManHunt 2 has certainly raised eyebrows in the international media. The game was embroiled in controversy right from the start, when attorney Jack Thompson, famous for blaming all the world's problems on video games, tried to halt the game's production. In the end, Thompson agreed to drop the suit however the game had trouble at the ratings board.
In the States the game was given an Adults Only rating by ESRB. Given that both Nintendo and Sony do not allow AO titles to be released for their consoles, there was no chance of the game being released in it's current state. Over in the UK, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) refused the game outright.
RockStar and parent company TakeTwo decided to go back and censor the game somewhat. The modified version got past the ESRB with an M rating. However, the BBFC still refused to certify the game causing RockStar to appeal to the Video Appeals Committee. RockStar has won the appeal and ManHunt 2 will be allowed released in the UK if the BBFC decides to stand down and take no further action. Fat chance of that happening, but only time will tell.
That's right! Gamers now have the option of buying games for their friends via the Wii's Shop Channel. A new feature called Gift gives people the choice of purchasing Virtual Console games and software for others. The feature's region-locked though, so don't expect to be playing Japanese exclusives any time soon.
The Photo Channel is also receiving an upgrade that replaces MP3 support with the better quality AAC format. Also, music on an SD card will now shuffle while viewing a slide show.
Owners of Nintendo systems in Europe have long been able to collect Stars through the Nintendo of Europe website. Europeans gamers have long had the option of registering their games online, being rewarded with Stars.
Wii owners who've amassed a large number of Stars now have the option of exchanging their hard-earned Stars for Wii Points, which can then be use to purchase classics from the Virtual Console. If you've been building a hoard of Stars for the last few years, it's time to start spending at the Wii Points Card Shop. Don't get greedy though, there's a limit of 2 cards per day!
