Send classics to friends through new Wii update

That's right! Gamers now have the option of buying games for their friends via the Wii's Shop Channel. A new feature called Gift gives people the choice of purchasing Virtual Console games and software for others. The feature's region-locked though, so don't expect to be playing Japanese exclusives any time soon.



The Photo Channel is also receiving an upgrade that replaces MP3 support with the better quality AAC format. Also, music on an SD card will now shuffle while viewing a slide show.
