Apparently Sega has registered the domain name "Valkryia3.jp" and previously they registered "Valkyria.jp" and "Valkyria2.jp". Now, this makes it seem very obvious that Sega want to make another sequel to the popular strategic RPGs.
Despite
Valkyria Chronicles 2 only being out in Japan at the moment, I wouldn't say no to another sequel due to how much I loved the original. I've emailed Sega regarding the matter so hopefully I'll get some sort of confirmation from them.
Update: Sega has emailed me back and have no statement to issue on the matter.

Bioware has finally revealed a release date for the upcoming DLC package for
Mass Effect 2,
Lair of the Shadowbroker. It was announced that the latest expansion will be released September 7 for Xbox 360 and PC. Bioware will be charging a reasonable 800 points for this too.
Fans of Liara in the first game will be happy to know that this DLC will allow players to continue a romance will her. 4 more screenshots have been released in the
Mass Effect 2 Gallery Page on the official site so you should check them out too.
Following EA's announcement that
Mass Effect 2 would be making the jump to PlayStation 3, Bioware has hinted that the third game might be appearing on the system too. Ray Muzyka, boss of Bioware, told
VG247 that a PS3 version of
Mass Effect 3 would "be a good guess". He then went on to say that details haven't been announced yet.
“That’d be a good guess, but we haven’t announced any details on any future formats or anything, or even formally announced Mass Effect 3 yet, although there’s a natural assumption that there will be a Mass Effect 3 as it’s a trilogy." He then added "We’ve said that and more or less confirmed it, but we haven’t announced any details on the product yet, or the platforms.
It has been revealed that the Xbox 360 avatars will be seeing a redesign this November. The reason for this change is all to do with Kinect being released. It has nothing to do with the camera though; it's all to do with the way the players interpret the avatars.
Due to the Avatars being cartoony, players of Kinect apparently get confused with the proportions of their digital selves because of the differences to themselves. It's been making the hand-eye coordination difficult for some. Little more info after the jump.
Don Whiteford, THQ Digital creative director, announced
Red Faction: Battlegrounds at GDC today. Unlike previous games, though,
Battlegrounds is a vehicle combat game which will be significantly different from the predecessors.
It's being developed by the people behind
Juiced and will have a top down view. Multiplayer fans will be happy to know that it will allows four players to play locally on one screen. Interestingly, it will be released as a download game, hitting both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. No word on a price or release date yet.
Thanks,
Kotaku.
According to Spanish website,
Gamekyo, Activision has announced release dates for both
Goldeneye 007 and
DJ Hero 2.
Goldeneye will be released November 2 exclusively for the Wii.
DJ Hero 2 will be released on October 19 in the USA with the European release a few days later on October 22. This will be released for PS3, X360 and Wii.
Ruffian Games
tweeted that news on
Crackdown DLC will be "coming soon". Judging from the tweet, Ruffian are testing it at the moment before finalising the release date for the content. Expect news soon.
"#Crackdown2 DLC news will be coming soon. Release date yet to be confirmed by MS but the test guys are loving it. We're close..."
Best Buy's listing for the Hardened Edition of
Call of Duty: Black Ops states that the game will see a return of the zombie maps from
World at War. It's listed under the product features where it says: "Four Zombie Maps Pack made famous from COD: World at War".
It's unknown if the only way to get them is purchasing the Hardened Edition as there's been no news of it from Activision of Treyarch. This does mean that new Zombie maps are possibly going to be released with
Black Ops but wait until things are confirmed before getting excited.

European gamers who have been after
Deadly Premonition will be happy to know it's heading to Europe. Rising Star Games (Published
No More Heroes) will be publishing the game in the EU. It will be released this Autumn exclusively on Xbox 360 for the budget price of £24.99.
For those not familiar with the title, you play as an FBI agent who's investigating the murder of a girl but as the game progresses things become rather odd. The most unusual thing about the game, however, is the reception. Some people love it while others hate it with mixed scores across the board.
Eden Games' upcoming racer
Test Drive: Unlimited 2 was scheduled to be released at the end of September but sadly we'll have to wait a little bit longer. Atari, the publisher, has decided to delay the game until next year in order for the multiplayer to be improved upon.
The beta that was supposed to be released before the game has also been delayed because of this. Despite the delay, I'm glad extra time is being taken to ensure we get the best possible game. Hopefully more specific details of the release date will given soon.
Thanks,
VG247.
The upcoming
Fallout: New Vegas seems to be boasting quite an impressive voice cast with some big names lending their talents to the game. Wayne Newton, or Mr. Las Vegas, will be a radio DJ for you to tune into as you explore Sin City. However, don't expect to run into him as he's just a program; the actual DJ apparently died long ago.
That's not all though. Felicia Day, of
The Guild fame, will be heard in the game which I imagine will please many. As you would expect Ron Pearlman will be returning as the games' narrator too. Kris Kristofferson, Matthew Perry (
Friends), Zach Levi (
Chuck) and Michael Dorn (
Star Trek: The Next Generation) will also be in the game.
New Vegas will be released on October 19 for PC, PS3 and X360.
Earlier this week Yusuke Hashimoto, of Platinum Games, revealed that new
Bayonetta information would be released. Everybody was hoping for news on a sequel but sadly it doesn't look that way. It turns out that
Bayonetta will be getting a re-release for both PlayStation's "The Best" range and Xbox 360's "Platinum Hits".
This re-release comes out on September 2 for ¥3,990. It'll come with a reversible cover and a trailer for Platinum's upcoming
Vanquish. This may not be the news everybody was hoping for but the game deserves a few more sales so it's not all bad.

Blizzard has announced that the recently released
StarCraft II has sold 1.5 million units in the first two days it was available. 1 million of these sales were on the first day. This makes it the fastest selling strategy game of all time and also the best selling PC game this year.
“We launched StarCraft II in 11 different languages and on 5 different continents because we wanted to make sure as many players as possible were able to log on and play on day one,” said Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime.
“We’re pleased that so many people around the world have already picked up a copy of the game, and we look forward to welcoming even more players to Battle.net(R) in the weeks and months ahead.”
Guerrilla Games, the Dutch developers behind the
Killzone games, is currently working on a new IP. Managing director Herman Hulst revealed this is an interview with Control, a Dutch gaming magazine. However, don't expect to hear much about it for a while as it's still in the concept stage.
It will be interesting to see what this new game is as Guerrilla has shown that they are capable of making solid and exciting games. Their next game to be released is
Killzone 3 which will see release February 2011. Expect more information on the new IP after that's released.

Bioware, the developers behind
Mass Effect,
Dragon Age and more, has stated that their new sales target is 10 million units.
"Well, we need to sell 10 million units," said BioWare co-founder Dr. Greg Zeschuk. "That's actually the new target, right? We do Top 10 games, our stuff is quite successful. I know Mass [Effect 2] is number eight so far this year, in North America."
"I think we know how lucky we are," he said. "When we're saying that, we always know that we're super-fortunate that we have a nice combination of things going on - really great support from EA, a budget to make great big giant games. We recognise that in a sense it's a privileged position we're in."
