Kasumi DLC Confirmed, Detailed
The first paid DLC for Mass Effect 2 was announced today, and it serves to confirm and enhance some details that had already been heavily
rumored. The new DLC is titled "Kasumi's Stolen Memory" and while it does add Kasumi to the game, it also features a new, roughly 90-minute heist mission. The good news for those of us that have beaten the game? Since the game allows the player to continue on after finishing the main storyline, this quest will be available in that end-game free roam.
What is quite possibly the most interesting fact to come out of this reveal, though, is what famous relics from Earth will be making an appearance. In the vault that Shepherd has to get into, the player will find Michelangelo's David as well as the Statue of Liberty, among other things. This is the first time that there's been anything overtly related to what's happened to Earth has appeared in the Mass Effect Universe.
Aside from the quest and the new recruit, the DLC will also feature a new submachine gun, a new power for Shepherd (flashbangs), a single achievement, and a new area in the Normandy (where else is Kasumi going to stand?). Pricing details haven't been disclosed, but they have said that it's set to hit sometime next month for both Xbox 360 and PC.
