Steam's just been taking all of my money away from me these past two days. I've been more and more into the digital download scene lately, what with the quickness and ease of it all. And these prices aren't making me feel any more averse to it. Yesterday and today, I bought a total of sixteen games, plus three expansions for one of them, for a grand total of $75.96. Now, most of them aren't the most recent releases, but they're all great games and it's still a steal in my mind. They're running daily deals, plus discounts on most of their collection.
My personal purchase these past two days was as follows:
Crysis Complete (Crysis & Crysis Warhead) - $13.59
FarCry 2 Fortune's Edition (FarCry2 & Fortunes DLC) - $9.99
Star Wars Jedi Knight Collection (Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Dark Forces, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, & Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith) - $9.99
Indigo Prophecy - $3.39
Max Payne Bundle (Max Payne 1 & 2) - $3.74
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - $4.99
Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition - $6.69
Sid Meier's Civilization IV: The Complete Edition (Civilization IV & the three expansions) - $13.60
All in all, an amazing set of purchases, in my opinion. Perfect for any startup PC gamer, like moi. Today's daily deals are pretty good, too. The Crysis package above is one of them. The rest are:
Shattered Horizon - $4.99
Multiwinia & Darwinia - $2.99
Medieval II: Total War - $4.99
Half Life: Source - $2.49
Street Fighter IV - $9.99
So, anyone that uses Steam...is probably already aware of these. But if you're a PC gamer who hasn't been using Steam (are there any of those?), then this holiday sale could be a reason to take up the practice. Plus, you can check back in about nineteen and a half hours for new set of deals. With one more day's worth after before the sale ends.
