Hooked Gamers Home
How could I not pick this up as soon as it came out? One of my most anticipated sequels, regardless of whether or not there was really a need for it.
A young gamer raised by young parents, only insuring I'd have something to play as soon as I could handle a controller. I've played them all, from the ColecoVision up through the current gen, skipping only a few along the way.

"Hammer of Infinite Fate" Coming to Brutal Legend

'Hammer of Infinite Fate' Coming to Brutal Legend
The second DLC, and first premium, for Brutal Legend was announced today. There's actually quite a bit of content, I think, considering the 480 MSP/$4.99 PSN pricetag. There's three new skins for Eddie: "the Mountain Man, Black Metal, and Zaulia Threads, as well as seven more back patches," according to the press release.

Eddie's hotrod also gets some customizey goodness with four new paint job options and four new upgrades. The two featured in the press release are: "the Oculus of the Lost, an all-seeing GPS for the world, and the Eye of Sorrow, a weapon that harnesses the power of the Sea of Black Tears and launches black projectiles of doom at enemies." The other two are named the Disgorger and the Coiling Maw, but what they do is a mystery.

The pack yields more for us achievement whores as well, with nine new achievements. These are due to the content in the pack, so it's safe to assume that they have to do with using the new upgrades in whatever ways. More heads can be purchased and displayed honorably on Mount Rockmore, "including Rima, Razputin, Dadbat, Hunter, Kage the Kannonier and Tim Schafer himself."

And last, but not least, alongside all of this there will be four new multiplayer maps: the Altar of Blood, Coiled Remains, Crucible of the Titans, and the Amplified Cliffs. Apparently, there is some "element of surprise" to each map that players will have to strategically deal with. Presumably, this would be some kind of random event that occurs at some point during a battle on that stage.

All in all, this is a pretty loaded content pack that will make any fan of metal, Jack Black, or Tim Schafer (or all three, like me!) very happy.
