Brink Pushed Over the Edge to Fall 2010

Until today, we all thought that Splash Damage's new futuristic squad-based shooter would be hitting our doorsteps on May 18, 2010. Alas, those with such dreams are to have them dashed.

A new preview video over on G4 ends on a sad note. As the video fades out, the words "Revolution Begins" flash on the screen, underlined by the words "Fall 2010." You can check out the video here. I, personally, never got too much enjoyment out of the Ghost Recon Series. Just a tad too on the realistic side, though I can appreciate the aspect. I haven't played a good squad-based shooter since Star Wars: Republic Commando. Brink looks promising, but I suppose I'll just have to wait a few more seasons before I'll find out.

At least I won't be as poor, seeing as the Spring is still filled with so many blockbuster releases I feel like my brain's going to explode from even the thought of Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Alpha Protocol, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy XIII, and God of War III all coming out in three months time.
