With both PSN and SOE down for the count, both networks are suffering from losses that are dependent on these systems to work. With tens of millions of people affected by these outages, as well as the prospect of a large amount of consumer data being stolen, you would think that Sony would be doing everything it can to keep its customers happy.
But today something happened that could once again bring the wrath of Sony's customers down on Sony's head... strangely enough, the source of it all is Sony itself.

Hit detection, horrible matchmaking, ridiculous rifle recoil are just some of the issues to plague Crysis 2's multiplayer. But none of those issues truly matter in light of one game breaking glitch that is ridiculously easy to exploit.
Find out the details after the break.

Cheaters, exploiters, hackers. As far as gamers are generally concerned, they are the scourge of the known universe... gaining unfair advantage in multiplayer games to make other users hard work seem completely inferior. Bungie are fighting back however, by giving credit resets and 1 day bans to people they see as having abused a glitch within their systems... but in doing so have targeted people who have unintentionally benefited from a bug on their end.

I once spoke of Modern Warfare like it was nectar from the gods. I would pronounce to any ears that would listen "This game is good" and converted many over to Infinity Ward's cause. I frequently cried out about how much IW must love their customers, to develop such a rich and polished product. My voice was heard by many, and these people became my followers, trusting me to lead them to the promised land.
I sampled the riches of IW's earlier titles. I slandered Call of Duty 3 as an abomination, and cursed it for its shift from all I'd known and loved. I even went back and tried Medal of Honour: Allied Assault and even though in reflection I know it didn't have the same feeling that the Call of Duty series had, I pronounced to my minions that it was so, and they drank my words as if they were life itself. I intoned to them "Infinity Ward love it's community, and they would never, ever betray us."
Ah, the folly of our youth...
I was one of those pretty stereotypical nerd/geek children. Whenever my mother told me to pick out a 'treat' at the weekly shop it would be fruit, not because I enjoyed it, but because even as a small child I had enough knowledge of how lacking in the funds department my family was. Being a single parent child my mother was all I had to look up to for most days of the week, a fairly good thing considering she was the single geekiest person I knew for the first 16 years of my life.
